Overview

Edinburgh, the showcase capital city of Scotland, balances the modern with the medieval, offering a potpourri of history, culture, attractions, and nightlife. And you’ll have time to experience it all with the Edinburgh Overnight Tour. Travel by open top bus tour down the Royal Mile to visit Holyrood Palace—once home to Mary, Queen of Scots, and her turbulent-ridden reign. Then it’s time to visit Edinburgh Castle, majestically perched atop an ancient volcano in the city’s center. On Day 2, there’s time for some retail therapy, or perhaps take a self-guided tour of Her Majesty’s Royal Yacht Britannia in the historic port of Leith. From Churchill to Yeltsin, Gandhi to Mandela, some of the world’s greatest influential figures have been welcomed aboard. And since you’re overnighting it, don’t miss out on Edinburgh’s renowned club scene. Or catch an outdoor gig on the lovely Princes Street Gardens with the picturesque Castle as its backdrop.
