Booking your hotel with Rail Europe
What are "Save” hotel rates?
Save Rate Hotels are special discounted room rates that are designated by a “save” icon.
Through our alliance with the Travelocity Partner Network, these negotiated rates are lower than those generally offered to the public. When you book a Save Rate, you can be confident you’re getting a great deal as they are backed by our Best Rate Guarantee. “Save” rates are pre-paid. Prepaid reservations allow hotels to extend their deepest discounts. By prepaying your reservation, you’re assured that the rate paid is secured and that you won’t be subject to room rate increases. The hotel room is charged to your credit card at the time of the booking. Hotels typically collect payment information separately for incidentals such as meals, movies, parking and phone calls. Cancellation terms and fees apply to prepaid bookings.
For the majority of regular rate bookings, your credit card will not be charged until you arrive at the hotel. Your credit card information is also taken in case any cancellation fees need to be applied.
How can I book more than one hotel stay with Rail Europe?
At this time, it’s only possible to purchase one hotel stay per order on the Rail Europe website. If you wish to buy multiple hotel stays, check out with your order containing the first hotel stay, and then place additional orders for each hotel stay you need to book.
How do I check-in at hotels booked through Rail Europe?
Simply bring a form of identification corresponding to the person under whom the reservation was made to the hotel’s check-in counter. It’s always preferable to also bring a print out of the Travelocity Partner Network email confirming your hotel reservation. If you booked a discounted prepaid reservation, please print out a copy of your voucher and bring it to the hotel to provide documentation that your reservation was paid in advance.
How do I know if my hotel reservation was confirmed?
You will receive an email from the Travelocity Partner Network confirming your hotel reservation. If you do not receive your email confirmation within ten minutes, contact our contact center and a duplicate copy will be emailed to you.
