This new SNCF-RENFE cooperation offers service between 17 cities in France and Spain including Paris, Lyon and Marseille to Barcelona, and Marseille to Madrid. It’s not just the great cities it connects that make it special, but how quickly it connects them. Go from Paris to Barcelona in just 6 hours, 25 minutes. Barcelona to Lyon takes just under 5 hours, and it makes Barcelona to Marseille possible in 4 hours, 17 minutes. On the France-Spain High Speed train, you can pirouette from Barcelona to Toulouse in just over 3 hours, or leave the bull behind going from Madrid to Marseille in 7 hours, 3 minutes.
Trains to Paris will be Euroduplex cars— double-decker train cars traveling at almost 200 mph. Trains to Toulouse, Lyon & Marseille will be almost as fast, with refurbished wooden parquet and leather seats in 1st class.

A. No. Your pass only covers the countries that you have selected prior to your purchase. If you want to travel trough a country that is not on the pass, you will have to purchase an extra ticket.

A. Italo trains offer high speed train services connecting the major cities of Italy such as Milano, Bologna, Firenze, Roma, Napoli, Salerno, Venezia, Torino and Padova. There are several daily connections between the main cities which are served by Italo. There are several daily connections between Milan and Roma and the number of connections will increase in the following years.

Q. Can I buy and use a Rail Pass if I have a European passport and being a permanent resident of a non-European country ?
A. - Yes, but it depends on some conditions. Eligibility of passes depends on your country or residence only. To be considered as a resident of a country, you have to stay in the country in question for more than 6 months.
