Sweden : SJ
SJ, the Swedish train company, was founded in 2000. It is part of other companies that make up the Swedish State Railways.
Originally known as the Royal Railway Board, the Statens Järnvägar’s (SJ) is one of the public companies that operate the Swedish State Railways. SJ is the passenger train operator of Swedish State Railways. Green Cargo is the freight train operator.
SJ operates the high speed train, X2000, which can travel at speed of up to 200 km/h. SJ’s Arlanda Express is the most efficient way to travel from Arlanda airport to the capital of Sweden, Stockholm city. The travel duration to reach Stockholm is just 20 minutes.
As from 2009, passengers are required to have proper travel documents including an ID to be able to travel onboard trains in Sweden.
