“Sixteen months ago, the French National Railway chose to withdraw from the 2013 Eurail Select Pass due to declining pass revenues. Thanks to recent product revamping, we are pleased to advise that France will again be included in a 4 country Select Pass open for sales April 1, 2014,” Said a spokesperson from the French National Railway. “We anticipate that this will be welcomed news to the world’s 76.5M annual visitors to our country, including the more than 3M travelers from North America, who can choose to explore more of France by train this year.”

The Eurail Select Pass from Rail Europe will transport you in comfort: not only providing effortless access to the places you want to visit, but simplicity of travel without concern for flight times, road signs or gas prices.

“We are beyond excited to welcome SNCF back into the Eurail Select Pass,” said Rail Europe president and chief executive officer, Frederic Langlois. “We know that our customers have been asking for it and when is a better time to make a return than spring in Europe.”

Another less recognized but enormous benefit of taking the train with a European rail pass, is that it travels from city-center to city-center, leaving travelers where all the action is. They’re not left miles away at an airport or lost in warp speed on the Autobahn.

Prices begin at $573 USD* for a 4-country Eurail Select Pass. Bookings can be made by visiting or by calling Rail Europe’s Contact Center.
