Go to the Quai Duguau Trouin to see the Etoile du Roy, a replica of a pirate ship built in 1745. With its 47 metres, this 3 mast-ship of 310 tons could accommodate a crew of 240 persons and was armed with 20 guns. A real floating museum ! You can take one of the many guided tours offered by the Tourist Office of Saint-Malo to discover the ramparts, the history of this corsair city, the birthplace of Mahe de Labourdonnais (Governor of Mauritius, back in the colonial days), the birthplace of the famous corsair, Robert Surcouf and many more landmarks.

Le Craquelin de Saint-Malo is heir to an ancient tradition. It is a hollow bun, whose lightness and crispness followed by an immediate melting effect makes it a unique product. It is best eaten when spread with butter, jam or cheese. You can eat it as a biscuit for lunch or breakfast. Visit Les Brassins de Saint- Malo, a local brewery located in the heart of the city, where you can taste the first beer made in Saint-Malo.

Saint-Malo is mostly a destination where one can buy local products. So while you are there have a blast buying and tasting Caramel au beurre sale, the Patate de Saint-Malo and the Galettes de sarrasin.
