Trouville, the charming neighbour of Deauville.

Trouville-sur-mer is a French city located in the department Calvados in Basse-Normandie. Facing the world-known city of Deauville, it is filled with about 4800 inhabitants. Little fishing port in the Middle-Ages, Trouville has become a touristic destination of Normandy.

About France

One of the main attractions of Trouville-sur-mer is certainly its magnificent beach, especially appreciated by the Parisians who are only two hours far by train from the seaside resort.

Trouville also houses five Historic Monuments among which the old "hotel des Roches Noires" painted by Claude Monet, the Montebello villa which is actually the Museum of the city and the Normand fish shop from 1936. You should discover the Aguesseau Castle built in the 17th century up above the town. Don’t miss the casino erected on the Louisiana Theme and belonging to the famous "Groupe Lucien Barriere".

Enjoy a stroll along the picturesque seafront villas while breathing some fresh sea air.
