Our tour guide Margarida (hope that's spelled correctly) was friendly, honest and informative, our small group were really nice and chatty and we thought this was a great way to see the city. The tram ride, custard tart and glass of wine and nibbles thrown in were great. We thought it was excellent!
Our tour guide, Adriana, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions to our safisfaction. She even suggested we take a different route from the usual so we can get a good panoramic view of the city. Wish we had more time for this tour though but overall I highly recommended.
Joana Pestana was an absolutely amazing tour guide. I usually don't write reviews, but this young lady was beyond impressive. She is very educated in history, politics and even computer sciences! She is an encyclopedia of information and made the tour super interesting and informative. We had 13 and 19 year old with us who also enjoyed it. Can't say enough. Highly recommend.
Very knowledgeable guide! It was a very nice introduction to this beautiful city!
Great tour to get a feel for Lisbon. Lots of walking for sure. Lisbon is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay there and we were glad to take this tour the first full day we visited to introduce ourselves to the area and history.
Greetings from Beautiful , sunny Lisbon! If you schedule nothing else, be sure to take the Lisbon Guided Walking Tour. If you can, request Rebecca, she is a perfect 5 Star tour guide, happy, thoughtful, smiling and full of fun and enthusiasm. Thank you Rebecca! I took two other tours with another company, only because they did hotel pick up and the tour guides with those two tours were not very good, in fact I would rate them a 1 star. Going forward I am only using Viator and TripAdvisor. Loved the included tram ride, history info re the earthquake, Fado discussion, Art Deco and most of my fellow walkers. Particularly enjoyed a couple from Toronto, Canada! A bit of advice for future walkers, wear walking shoes, streets are not smooth and you will need to climb stairs. Show up on time, bring water, bring 50 cent Euro coins for using the restroom, yes, it cost 50 cents to use a restroom in many places. This is not a hard walking tour, I am 71 and I did just fine, but if you have a tough time climbing stairs you might want to do a little training for your trip to Lisbon because there are stairs EVERYWHERE not just on this walking tour. Last but not least, read the Overview of the tour, then read it again, also read the Important information section, if you have a problem remembering detail, print it out, this will save you time and effort after you arrive in Lisbon. ENJOY!
Our tour guide Miguel did a fabulous job! He was very informative, funny and answered all of our questions and even helped us out with suggestions for the rest of our time in Lisbon. I would recommend this tour with Miguel to anyone you will love it.
So much depends on the guide and fellow walkers as well as the scenery and this tour was an absolute joy. Nice pace, entertaining stories, food at the right time and a glass of wine to finish off. Even when the tram trip wasn't possible because of the Lisbon Marathon, plan B quickly swung into action after a quick vote!
Wonderful Guide Tiego is just a magical Mystery Tour all on his own and when added to Lisbon makes it the best Tour I have ever been on. Libon is a City which appears to be tearing itself apart and becoming a dormitory for tourists rather than a vibrant pplace to live, work and stay and Tiego who refuses to move out provides an excellent commentary to the process bring both hope and a sense of melancholy to the story. Go while you can its changing fast!
Great intro to Lisbon! I took this tour fresh off the plane, and it gave me a great overview of the main sights of the city. From Rossio Square to a tram ride up to Alfama, the cathedral and then up to Chiado, you learn a lot about the different sights of the city, as well as a lot of history.
The tour included a tram ride on the 12 tram, wine and cheese at a small stop, and the opportunity to pick the brain of a very knowledgeable guide and fellow travelers. I was able to plan out some places I wanted to come back and visit, as well as churches to take pictures inside of I took the tour on Sunday, so mass was in progress at every church we stopped at.
I would highly recommend this tour on your first day in Lisbon!
Margarida was a wonderful guide giving a clear snapshot from historical and cultural perspectives. She was charming and offered great ideas for further exploring. We would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a nice introduction to Lisbon and Portuguese history.
This tour was so fun, informative, and casual. Our guide, Margarita, was a delight and spending 3 hours with her was easy. She knows so much about Lisbon and presents it in a way that is interesting and not boring. You can tell she really loves doing this.
The walking tour was great and our guide Adrianna was very accommodating with everyone. I appreciated Adrianna's knowledge of all the sites we visited, in addition to other subjects.
She had a difficult group to contend with, and you can say she is very good at herding cats.
Fantastic. Worth doing it.
Wonderful tour with Pedro.
A good tour, well paced, seeing most of Lisbon's main sights in the three central areas, Guide, Tiago, was great fun and appealed to all the group. He provided an excellent explanation of key historical points and was very knowledgeable about the City's architecture. I thought the group size should be kept to about 10 - we had 13 which felt a little too large.
This tour was absolutely fantastic. The guide was really knowledgeable, and even though Lisbon is quite a hilly city, it ended up being quite an easy, pleasant walking tour. It was also a pleasant surprise to find this tour included some delicious Portuguese wine and cheese!
Fantastic walking tour. Not to be missed.Tiago our guide was full of local knowledge, humour and tips during our tour. This was the best insight to Lisbon for all our companions. Can't thank Tiago enough.
The Lisbon guided walking tour was fantastic. Our Inside Lisbon tour guide, Sofia Freitas was a wealth of knowledge, she was energetic, entertaining, very patient and extremely friendly. My companions and I left Lisbon with so much more history and knowledge of the city and we really enjoyed seeing it on a leisurely, well-paced walking tour. This excursion was more than worth every penny. And it was topped off with stops at cafes for Pastel de natas and ended with Wine, cheese and meats.
An activity that I would highly recommend and endorse for all my family and friends who visit Lisbon!
Shanna was an AMAZING guide! She was extremely interesting, entertaining and knowledgeable. Very affordable tour for all the information that was provided and interesting things we saw. I would highly recommend this tour, specially with Shanna.
The tour was amazing we learned many thinks for the city and have fun!!!! Especially I want to thanks our guide Adrianna a lot she was amazing and very professional!!!!!! Finally many thanks to the stuff of viator for their support and their help after I had some problems as first time to Lisbon!!!
Our Guided Walking Tour of Lisbon was a great time. Shanna our guide was informative, interesting and entertaining. She knew the city and had a passion for its people and traditions. We covered a lot of area walking up and down the city getting great views and information about a very beautiful city. We stopped for the special Lisbon lemon pastry which was great and then later for a break from the crowds in a small restaurant for a wine, cheese and sausage tasting which hit the spot perfectly. The tour was a great bargain. There were ten of us on the tour and we found our fellow walkers very interesting and fun to be with. It was a beautiful warm sunny day which added even more to the joy of the trip. One word of caution for those interested in this tour-- there is a significant amount of walking up and down cobblestone streets. If you have difficulty walking like that you may want to look for something else to do.
We loved this walking tour and our guide, who's name was, Sophia, I think, did an excellent job. I am sorry I am not clear on the name. The neighborhoods were wonderful and the trolley ride was an unforgettable experience.
