This was a perfect way to spend one day in Bordeaux. The group size was just right 8 for everyone to taste without rushing. Each place we stopped gave us a different insight some aspect of growing grapes, making wine, tasting wine, from traditional to modern practices, from caverns to hi-tech. I enjoyed comparing the vintages! The village of Saint-Emilion is a great place to visit, especially since the weather was so good.

Emeline was fantastic and we learned so much from her. The trip was outstanding in that we went to three vineyards and tasted wine as well as took a historical tour of the small city and had time for lunch. I did this trip on my own a few years ago and cannot believe how much I missed on my own. Emeline gives great suggestions for lunch and what to see. Loved this trip and the wine tasting too!

This was a very special experience with our tour guide Emily. She was a wealth of knowledge not only about the wine region but about
art and history. We did two wine tours in the region, Medoc and St. Emilion. If you can only chose one do the St. Emilion experience.
It was a lovely and informative day and offered three distinct wineries to visit and St. Emilion was and adorable place to
have lunch and wander around. Plus we learned when to drink French wines. You must let them rest 10 years at least before consuming.

There were only six people in our group so we were taken to the most amazing place in St. Emilion where we were allowed to descend a steep ladder into some underground caves that housed old vintages of wine. The entire day was well organized, comfortably paced with time to explore St. Emilion. Our guide Hugo was well informed and spoke English, and our special guide for the winery in St. Emilion was wonderful.

This was a great tour. The tour guide was very knowledge and was able to provide a lot of information. We visited 3 wineries which allowed us to compare and contrast between big, small, modern, tradition, etc. I would recommend this tour.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide Ugo was wonderful, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The 3 wineries we visited were totally different but each terrific in their own way. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch in St. Emilion. The tour was the highlight of our time in Bordeaux!

The trip involved visiting three different but prestigious wine producers of different sizes, a wine tasting in the heart of St Emilion and a wander round the town of St Emilion. We didn't know much about wine making before the trip and were the least knowledgeable of the party of eight tourists, but this was fine - everything was explained and all the members of the group with all their different levels of knowledge all enjoyed themselves. I would recommend this trip if you like wine and want to see this very pretty part of the world and enjoy a drink or three of world class wines as you go along.

This was a top notch all-day trip with an amazing, fun and very knowledgable guide Karim. Thanks for teaching us all about the region's wine-making traditions and sharing the passion! We loved meeting the winery owners, wine-makers and understanding their day-to-day as well as the overall process for creating their magic!

Emilie was our tour operator for this lovely, personalized and interesting tour. We toured three separate wineries with very different historical backgrounds. Emilie was very personable and informative, not to mention her excellent driving skills.
I highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour! This experience was the exact reason we came to Bordeaux. We saw the countryside from the comfort of a small van with a knowledgeable guide. Emeline was an exceptional and informative guide. She was both polite and efficient. A gracious hostess and a great ambassador for both Bordeaux and France. The vineyards were excellent examples of French winemaking. Tours were led by family members from the Chateaus who were passionate about their wines and proud of their heritage and family histories. I learned a LOT about wine! The tour of St. Emilion was magical! A good combination of structured information and free time. The local food was exceptional. Of all my Viator tours, this one is my favorite..

Our guide Ugo picked us up promptly at the Tourist Office in Bordeaux, he was straight into the wines and wine making before we got into the air conditioned van! He was chatty and spoke great English on the way to the first stop at Chateau De Sales where we tasted four red wines. Our second stop was in St Emillion at Chateau Gaudet where Jeremy really made us welcome and gave us a great tour and in depth talk about wine making and tasting.... we tasted 6 wines in the shop in the village before a break for lunch. The third stop was Chateau Fernandez high on the slopes in St Emillion where it was cool and slightly more modern. It was 35 degrees during our tour and we had cold water provided and a lovely air condition Mercedes van.... a great tour well worth a day!

Excellent day trip. Visited 3 winerie: First 2 small, boutique Third larger, more commercial. Guide very knowledgeable. Good wines. Scenic drive. St Emilion an interesting medieval town with plenty of character and tourists!. Enjoyed the wine tasting at Le Cellier de Saint Emilion where the knowledge and service was good and where we bought some wine which is easily shipped home. A great day out!

This was an absolute must-do day trip when visiting Bordeaux and you love full-bodied, red wines. The hosts at the small estates were wonderful and genuine and the town of Saint-Emilion is amazing. We did both this trip and the comparable Full-Day Small-Group Medoc Wine tour. If you can only choose one, choose this one. The Saint-Emilion/Pomerol region is primarily Merlot, while the Medoc area is primarily Cab Sauv. If, like us, you have a bad case of FOMO fear of missing out, do them both!

This tour exceeded our expectations. We loved the small group format, which was personalised, flexible and responsive to the people 7 of us. We saw huge coaches leaving from Bordeaux and imagine that those tours must have felt like being in amongst a herd, by comparison!

We saw three very different chateaux, and this deepened our understanding of what differentiates Bordeaux wines and wine producers from one another, and indeed from other wines worldwide. Our most memorable highlight was the captivating subterranean caves of Chateau Gaudet! We also loved Chateau de Sales and Chateau de Ferrand.

Our guide Ugo was very knowledgeable not just about Bordeaux, but about other wine regions in France and allover the world. This gave us comprehensive and exclusive insight into the world of wine... Indeed it whet our appetite to learn more!

Thank you Ugo for a truly insightful, memorable and ultimately enjoyable day in Pomerol and St. Emillion!

Karim was so great. We learned so much on the tour about how wine is made and what makes specific wines taste the way they do. His sense of humor was extremely entertaining and warm. He made everyone in the car feel included.

We would highly recommend him for this tour. Outstanding guide.

We visited 3 Chateaus and loved our wine tasting experience with Leonore. She was fun, knowledgeable and patient with us. The tour is well organised and felt money well spent with her. Personally, we enjoyed this tour more because it was a small group. Highly recommend this tour.
