Q. Can I choose to travel in a country that is not on my pass and add it on the pass ?
A. No. Your pass only covers the countries that you have selected prior to your purchase. If you want to travel trough a country that is not on the pass, you will have to purchase an extra ticket.

Q. What are the classes of service which are offered on the Eurostar train ?
A. Three classes of service are offered on board the Eurostar : Business Premier, Standard Premier and Standard Class. Business Premier with Eurostar offers the following facilities : rapid check-in before departure (10 minutes), dedicated desk for check-in, access to Eurostar Executive lounge, spacious legroom, Wi-Fi Internet access, reserved coach for business passengers, newspapers and a 3-course meal which is served at your seat. As for the Eurostar Standard Premier, it comes with a 30-minute check-in, comfortable reclining seats with spacious legroom, newspapers and a cold meal served at your seat. Travelers opting for Standard Class are less expensive, however they are less spacious as there are more seats per car. Drinks and meals are available for purchase on the buffet car.

A. You can choose a T4. If none is available you can choose 2 double compartments.

Q. I haven't departed for Europe yet and want to exchange or refund my train ticket. How do I proceed ?
A. No. However, you can change seats once on board. Trains may enter a station in one direction and depart in the opposite direction ; seat positions can change depending on how the train pulls into and out of the station.
Q. How to take a train ?
A. You can take a train at a train station which offers a maximum of information and facilities to guide travellers. Large Departure and Arrival boards, found in train stations, indicate the departure time or the arrival time of a particular train. The train number and the platform are displayed alongside. You just have to match the train number and departure time which are printed on your reservation/ticket to displayed information on the board in order to know which train you should take and at which platform number.
Before hopping on the train, check for your coach or carriage number on your reservation/ticket. Coach numbers are well indicated on the lateral sides of all trains. First, Second or any other classes are also indicated.
Once onboard the train, match the seat number with that indicated on you reservation/ticket.
European trains have pictographs (graphic drawings) which represent international symbols in order to assist any passenger. Don’t forget that the railway staff is always available to guide you.
Q. Are there WC and other amenities onboard trains ?
A. Yes, trains have water closet or toilets which are easily accessible and are clearly marked with a WC sign. If you want to use the WC, you will find them in front or at the back or each carriage. They include a washbasin.
Q. What are the differences between First class and Second class ?
A. - First class has fewer seats thus allowing more legroom and space. Seats are usually larger and can recline. Other services are available for free. For better comfort on long journeys, First class is preferred.
- Second class has more seats, with less legroom but they are usually 50% cheaper.
Q. Is there a check-in before the departure of Thalys train ?
A. No. There is no check-in before departure. However rail officials will control your ticket and passport during the journey. Make sure you have all your valid travel documents with you while on board a Thalys train. Please note that children under 12 years old are not allowed on board if they are travelling alone.
