Like Milan, Geneva also has opportunities for some high-end shopping and delectable foods - that is in addition to the breathtaking scenery! The Jet d'Eau is notably one of the biggest attractions to see in the city. This is the iconic water jet found in the middle of Lake Geneva. The stream was not set up to be a fountain, originally, rather it was to release pressure from a nearby hydraulic plant. Before long locals and visitors alike began gathering near the jet to gaze at it. Soon after it was decided to move the jet to the center of the lake where it's become a symbol of the city. You can walk around the lake to see all different angles of the fountain - it makes for a lovely afternoon! Other notable sights to see include the Reformation Wall and the Old Town. Geneva is one of Switzerland's gems!
