Using the Rail Europe User Account

  • How do I create a Rail Europe account?

    All you need is a valid email address and a password to be registered with us. You may choose to save additional information like your delivery address and preferred method of payment to make it more convenient when booking future trips online. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information regarding a Rail Europe account.

  • What are the benefits of registering on the Rail Europe site?

    In a nutshell, you’ll enjoy exclusive discounts and deals, plus access to a range of services that let you:
    • Use our mobile site and iPhone app to retrieve your itinerary information, check schedules, book tickets and reserve seats
    • Request a refund
    • Save time by never having to re-enter all your information every time you make a booking
    • Save multiple shopping carts with different products to compare travel options and pricing

    Well, that’s a start to the benefits you’ll enjoy. But if you really want to know how much easier/better/faster/cheaper… it makes planning a trip, you’ll just have to do it.


  • If I register on your site, will I start receiving spam?

    No, you will only receive booking and/or account related messages, as well as occasional promotion information email from Rail Europe. If you chose to subscribe to our newsletter, you can expect to receive this publication as well. Of course, you have the option to unsubscribe to at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of the newsletter. So no, you will not receive spam, at least not because of us.

  • How do I change my login or password?

    If you want or need to change your login information for your Rail Europe account, log in with your current login information. When you reach your account homepage, you’ll see the option to edit your email and password on the left-hand side of the page. You’re also offered the option to edit this information at the top of the “Home” tab in your account page.

  • What does the “Login with Facebook” button do?

    The “Login with Facebook” button allows you to log in to the Rail Europe website with your Facebook account information, even if you have never registered to the Rail Europe website before.

    Simply click on the “Login with Facebook” button (it’s at the top of every page) to login. If you’re not logged in to Facebook when you do it, you’ll be prompted to log in to Facebook first. Once logged into Facebook, you’ll be prompted to authorize the Rail Europe website to connect to your Facebook account (this prompt will only occur once). When you have enabled Rail Europe to accept your Facebook account information, you’ll be able to log in to the Rail Europe website at any time in just one click. Try it to see how easy it is.

    Logging in will enable you to enjoy the many benefits of a Rail Europe account, including the ability to save personal information for fast checkout, view your booking history, and access your rail itinerary on our mobile site and iPhone app.


  • What information does Rail Europe retain from my Facebook account?

    When you authorize Rail Europe to access your Facebook account, we only store the email address that you have specified as your Facebook login, as well as your full name. Nothing else. This information is, of course, subject to our privacy policy.

  • I already have a Rail Europe account. Can I still log in with Facebook?

    Absolutely. If you already have a Rail Europe account, you can easily link it with your Facebook account. Simply login to your Rail Europe account using the email address and password you’ve used to register to the site. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a button right below your login information on the account home screen allowing you to connect the Rail Europe account to Facebook. Simply click on it, authorize the Rail Europe website to access your Facebook account, and you’ll be able to log in to your Rail Europe account using either the Facebook button or Rail Europe login.

    Important Note: Please be sure to follow the above steps when you initially link your accounts. If you go straight to the “Login/Facebook” button, it may result in the creation of a new Rail Europe account, instead of linking your existing Rail Europe account.

  • What is “my entourage” used for?

    It allows you to store traveler information for your fellow travelers, friends and family. Then, you can save time by simply selecting the travelers from that list when making a reservation. You can add or delete names or update your list at any time. Pretty convenient, huh?

  • How can I subscribe to or unsubscribe from your e-newsletter?

    You can subscribe or unsubscribe from our e-newsletter at any time from your Rail Europe online account page. It’s easy. Edit your preference by first logging into your account and clicking the “edit” link under the section “Between trips I read.”

    To unsubscribe, you can also just click the unsubscribe link found at the footer of our e-newsletter. This will unsubscribe you immediately.
