Q. Which European cities are served by the TGV Lyria trains ?
A. TGV Lyria connects many major cities of France and Switzerland. Lyria offers high speed service between Paris and Dijon to the Swiss cities of Geneva, Lausanne, Basel, Neuchatel, Bern, and Zurich. From Geneva, Lyria journeys to Lyon, Avignon, Aix en Provence, and Marseille.
Q. Does the Swiss Pass offer any special of discounted fares ?
A. Yes, you can obtain a discount for ferry crossings or even a free ride. Holders of a Swiss Pass also benefit from great offers to visit museums, monuments, a 50 % discount for mountain top excursions and more. The discounts and other bonuses can be obtained locally by showing your Swiss Pass or you can choose to contact the company accepting the discounts in advance. You can benefit discounts during the period of validity of your Pass. You can travel without paying (free) by bus, train or ferry only on travel days which apply to your Swiss Pass.
Q. Are there special facilities for disabled persons ?
A. Yes. Trains and train stations have special facilities for disabled travellers. The latter can also benefit from special equipment or personal assistance. Make sure to specify or reserve beforehand.
Q. What is the main difference between First class and Second class on the TGV (French high speed trains) ?
A. TGV’s First class includes comfortable reclining seats ; food and beverages are available for purchase at the buffet car. However, if Premier service is offered a meal is included in the fare.
Q. Is there a check-in before the departure of an ICE train ?
A. No. There is no check-in or customs control before boarding an ICE train for local destinations in Germany. However for International destinations, there will be a ticket control and passport checks on board ICE trains. If you have a Pass, don’t forget to validate your pass prior to boarding.
Q. What should I do If I've already bought my rail pass, and now want to add another country ?
A. A pass holder (passholder) fare is a reduced fare offered to pass holders when the rail route needs requires a ticket. Usage of a pass holder fare will necessitate the use of 1 day on your rail pass.
Q. Where can the Eurail Select Pass be used ?
A. The Eurail Italy Pass can be used on the entire national rail network of the countries which you have chosen. The following countries form part of the Eurail program : Austria, Benelux, Bulgaria, Croatia-Slovenia, Czech Republic Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Select, Montenegro-Serbia, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.

Q. Can I carry as many luggages as I want on the Eurostar ?
A. Unfortunately you can’t. Each passenger is allowed to carry 2 suitcases and 1 handbag.
